( 14 spaces available ) Session type: Learn a group choreography Style: A dance with two handveils When: Tuesday, 17th February 2026 at 6:45pm Duration: 2,5 hours Where: Maiden Place Community Centre Function room Additional info: All levels welcome, but not suitable for complete beginners. Handveils will be available at the workshop, but you would need your own for the performances, if you are going to perform. Performance opportunities: Spring Showcase 2025 on 17th May, time and location to be confirmed Potential performance opportunities to be confirmed: 13th June for Woodley Carnival 2026 Bastille Dat Festival date to be confirmed ---Students who have learned previous dances they wish to perform can use the time from 6:30-6:45pm and from 9:15-9:30pm to rehearse in the room ( before and after the workshop ) |

Cancan 2026 Workshop
( 15 spaces available ) Session type: Learn the 2026 version of the cancan When: Saturday, 18th April 2026 at 10am Duration: 2,5 hours Where: Maiden Place Community Centre in Lower Earley Additional info: Intermediate level, Requires good fitness level. This type of dance involves a lot of bouncing ( supportive bra recommended ) Participants need to bring their own skirts for swish action. If you do not have a cancan skirt, any wide long skirt will work just as well. The workshop runs from 10am-12:30pm (12:30-12:55pm is available for rehearsal of previously learned workshop dances ) Performance opportunities: Spring Showcase 2025 on 17th May, time and location to be confirmed Usually at Bastille Day Festival Reading, but to be confirmed |

Intermediate level,
Requires good fitness level.
This type of dance involves a lot of bouncing ( supportive bra recommended )

Rehearsal sessions are available to students who have learned dances at workshops and need to practise before an upcoming performance.
The dates are advertised on the What's On section as well as the "rehearsal sessions" section and are being shared within the dance community by Sandy in advance of them taking place.
